Time flies when you're having fun—two years have zipped by since The Angler made its PC debut in August 2022! Your adventures have taken you through four vast fishing reserves spanning three continents. Together, we've caught over 5 million fish, traveled 866 kilometers, completed 8 million missions and activities, and discovered 25 million points of interest along the way.
Whether you've been with us from day one or recently joined the adventure, we’re so happy to share this special anniversary with you. Thank you for being part of the journey!
In honor of this occasion, we are thrilled to unveil everything included in the 2nd Anniversary Update, now available across all platforms!
2nd Anniversary Update
Steam Deck Verification
The Angler is now fully verified on the Steam Deck, allowing you to play the game seamlessly wherever and whenever you like. Fishing on the go has never been easier!
2nd Anniversary Event
Summer is here, and some slippery visitors have snuck into the Golden Ridge Reserve! Head on down to the International BBQ Party event area on the island South-West of Diamond's Peak Outpost to join in the fun! Catch some guest fish from other reserves, try the new BBQ mini-game, and stock up on some sweet summer themed gear and apparel in the summer shop!
New Species: Crayfish and Carpsucker
Two new species have been added to Golden Ridge Reserve: the Signal Crayfish, our first-ever Crustacean in the game, and the River Carpsucker.
Ultimate Double Everything Event
For a limited time, earn double EVERYTHING on all catches across all reserves. This is your chance to earn XP and tokens at a much quicker rate than usual, so make sure to mark it in your calendar!
Starts: Wednesday 4th September (00.00 PST/08.00 BST/ 09.00 CET)
Ends: Sunday 8th of September (23.59 PST/Monday 9th September 07.59 BST/ 08.59 CET).
